Minacce di morte all'operaio delle pale eoliche

La polizia di West Grey sta investigando minacce che sono state riferite da un operaio che ha detto di essere stato minacciato con un fucile mentre stava lavorando al sito di una turbina eolica, a nord est di Londra. La polizia sta anche investigando telefonate minacciose che l'uomo ha riferito di aver ricevuto.

Il commissario della polizia di West Grey, Janet Schumaker, riferisce che Damen era solo al momento dell'incidente ma che la polizia sta prendendo la sua storia molto sul serio.

Damen riferisce di aver poi ricevuto telefonate misteriose lunedi' "Mi hanno detto che sanno dove vivo e sanno quello che faccio." Ha riferito. "Questo è più o meno tutto, poi hanno riattaccato.

Damen riferisce che non è la prima volta che è stato attaccato per il suo lavoro. "Ho ricevuto attacchi verbali personali riguardo all'energia eolica, ma è la prima volta che si arriva a questo punto." Riferisce Damen, "siamo su un altro livello riguardo alla mia sicurezza personale, di certo

West Grey Police are investigating alleged threats against a worker, who says he had a shotgun pulled on him while working on a wind turbine site northeast of London, Ont. Police are also investigating threatening phone calls the man says he received.

West Grey Police Const. Janet Shumaker said Damen was alone at the time of the alleged incident but the police are taking the matter seriously.

Damen said he then received some cryptic phone calls Monday. ”They stated they know where I live and know what I do,” he said. “That’s pretty much how they left it and hung up.”

Damen said it’s not the first time he’s been confronted in his field of work. ”I have encountered verbal attacks, personally to me, regarding wind, but it has never escalated to this point,” he said. “This has gone to a new level of my safety, for sure.”
